Return to the Paddington Arm

I like Little Venice in London and returned there again on Saturday during my brief visit to the big city. I had a walk up the Paddington Arm of the Grand Union Canal up as far as Paddington Station and took a few photos. The area seems to be great for British Waterways boats, below is John Marks which appears to have solar powered backup (not that it can be that useful at the moment!)

Little Venice to Paddington

A short while ago i enjoyed a nice canal walk in London, my second visit to Little Venice in West London in fact (photos from the first visit can be seen here). Starting at the junction of the Grand Union and Regent's Canal at Little Venice i then went along the Paddington Arm of the Grand Union to it's termination. I also took in parts of the Thames. Grand Union at Leamington Spa

We went down to Leamington Spa today and of course the Grand Union passes through the town so i took a few photos along the canal (and the river Leam). Its a nice spot, i think i might come back soon and give the canal here a more thorough examination.

Stratford-upon-Avon Canal & River Avon

I indeed did take a lot of photos, 163 in total of Bancroft Basin and the Stratford-upon-Avon canal, plus a few on the river Avon too. Here you can see the full set.

Stratford awaits

A few weeks ago i went on a work outing (a so-called "away day") to Stratford-upon-Avon. The day was great including of course the lovely canal and river Avon. I'm going to return there at the end of this month (a short holiday this time) so of course i shall take many more photos like this...
