We visit the Stratford Canal this week in Earlswood.

Tutbury

Another border land river is the Dove between Tutbury and Hatton. Staffordshire on the left and Derbyshire on the right.

Wrenbury-cum-Frith

The Weaver is fairly modest in this part of Cheshire.

Chirk

The river Ceiriog in Chirk, this river forms the border between England (right side) and Wales (on the left).

Anker

The river Anker in Polesworth.

Ambergate

This week we will be looking at a selection of rivers around England and Wales, starting with the Derwent at Ambergate.

Behind the village

The village of Whatstandwell is a steep walk up from the canal, the back of various properties along the main street can be seen here from the towpath.

After heavy rain, the towpath heads towards another bridge.
